Reversing cameras. Now standard across the range.

Hyundai was the first manufacturer in New Zealand to introduce Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard equipment on all its vehicles as long ago as late 2007. Hyundai New Zealand is now continuing its innovation leadership in the New Zealand market by making reversing cameras standard on every new vehicle it sells from 1st July, 2014.

 “Our customers have told us that a reversing camera is one of the most useful features in a new vehicle. Adding reversing cameras as standard across our range will continue the high level of standard specification in all Hyundai models sold in New Zealand” said Andy Sinclair, the General Manager of Hyundai New Zealand.

Useful tips

Clean your rear view mirror monitor frequently to maintain a flawless picture when you are using it to help assist you with reversing your vehicle.

To clean your rear view mirror, spray glass cleaner onto a paper towel or similar material. Do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the mirror as damage to circuitry may occur.

Wipe the mirror gently to avoid changing the position of your rear view mirror. Use a dry soft cloth to wipe off any excess residue. Do not use any degreasing agents, wax or glass coating on camera lens.

PLEASE NOTE:

• This system is a supplementary function only. It is the responsibility of the driver to always use the inside/outside rear-view mirrors to check the area behind the vehicle, before and whilst reversing, as there is a dead zone that cannot be seen through the camera.
• Always keep the camera lens clean. If the lens is covered with foreign matter, the camera may not operate normally.
